Journey
In my second year I saw a post on LinkedIn about a person that obtained a scholarship for the CEH exam. Since I don't know any better than jumping on every occasion to improve my skills, I thought why not give it a shot. I applied and hoped for the best, after all I was only a student and the people that are going for certifications like these are often experienced infosec people.
Yet a little while later, I received confirmation that I had been granted the CEH Practical scholarship. Since that day I started preparing myself using HackTheBox and TryHackMe. Now that I had this opportunity, I was going to do everything I could to succeed. Luckily for me, Matthieu Billaux found me through LinkedIn and offered his help. He helped me a lot with training and preparing for the exam.
The third of November it was time for my exam, a four hour long proctored test. It went smoothly and I managed to pass with a score of 17/20. Since this day I was proud to call myself a Certified Ethical Hacker while still being a third year student.
