Goal

For NVDOS, translated as 'Night of Student Entrepreneurs', AZ Turnhout asked us to make their hospital a more pleasant environment. We had one night to come up with an idea and a 3 minute pitch. Through the night the organisation had provided snacks and activities to keep us going. I had a great team and it was really nice to combine our visions. It was my first hackathon, but it definitely gave me the motivation to do more of them. You can read more about this hackathon on HLN.

Our idea

We came up with an interactive buddy system to teach children what procedures they were going to experience. We thought that if a child knew what was going to happen, he or she would be less stressed. The same would go for the parents. We loved this concept, but sadly we didn't get to the finals. Better luck next year!
